Walgreens, the U. S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) most significant competitor to Viagra, recently announced it plans to sell over-the-counter erectile dysfunction (ED) pills at the Walgreens Pharmacy in San Francisco.

“With so many products in our stores and on our shelves now, it’s very easy to get a product that works,” said David W. Heimlich, executive director of Walgreens.com.

Walgreens will be the first U. company to offer prescription ED medications without the use of a prescription.

“In addition to their active ingredients, Viagra and its competitors are all available over-the-counter,” said Michael E. DiBello, president of Walgreens.com, which sells prescription ED drugs. “We’re not just a pharmacy, we’re a health-care provider.”

While the Walgreens ED products are designed for men, the company will sell them for a fraction of the price of their typical erectile dysfunction medication.

“We’re going to be able to get Viagra and Cialis without the prescription,” said DiBello. “We’re not going to sell these products to anyone. This is a product that is really important to us.”

Walgreens already sells a variety of ED medications that are available without a prescription in the U. and across the globe, including:

  • Viagra (sildenafil citrate) tablets
  • Cialis (tadalafil) tablets
  • Levitra (vardenafil)
  • Stendra (avanafil)

Walgreens also sells a number of other ED products, including:

  • Zydus Cadila (cadilhalothyl lactide)
  • Sildenafil citrate tablets (100 mg, 150 mg, and 200 mg)
  • Tadalafil tablets (30 mg and 100 mg)
  • Vardenafil (vardenafil hydrochloride) tablets

The FDA approved the first product of its kind, the 10-milligram tablets, in November 2017.

Walgreens is the only U. company to sell generic versions of ED medications without a prescription.

“It’s just an incredible development,” said DiBello. “With so many products in our stores and on our shelves now, it’s very easy to get a product that works.”

Heimlich and DiBello said they are excited about the potential to sell ED products over the counter.

“This is a great opportunity for us,” he said. “This is the first time that we’ve had a product sold over the counter, and we’re very happy with the result.”

Walgreens has also been the first company to offer generic ED medications with a $25 price tag, meaning it can sell them at a slightly higher cost.

Walgreens has already announced its launch of its first product for erectile dysfunction in the U. at a generic drugstore.

“We’re excited to launch our first product, the 10-milligram Viagra, at Walgreens in San Francisco,” said DiBello. “We’re going to have an even larger product on the shelves in the next two weeks,” he said.

Preliminary results indicate that the most effective treatment option for erectile dysfunction is medication. In clinical studies, most men are able to manage erectile dysfunction effectively with sildenafil (Viagra), a common medication used for treating sexual dysfunction in men. The efficacy of Viagra in treating erectile dysfunction has been demonstrated in clinical trials and has been extensively studied in men with erectile dysfunction. The main objective of this study was to evaluate the safety and efficacy of sildenafil in treating erectile dysfunction in patients with hypertension. A total of 76 men with hypertension, mean age 65.9 ± 10.5 years (range 20–89) were enrolled into the study. All patients were instructed to take sildenafil orally for 20–30 minutes on average. Before medication was started, patients were asked to complete an in-depth questionnaire. The study subjects answered their general information about erectile dysfunction and their medical history. The results of this study indicate that the most effective treatment option for erectile dysfunction is sildenafil, which has been demonstrated to be effective in 70.8% of men in clinical trials. This may be due to the relatively short duration of treatment, the effectiveness of the drug, and the low number of patients in the study. In conclusion, sildenafil is a safe and effective treatment option for erectile dysfunction in patients with hypertension. The efficacy of sildenafil has been demonstrated in clinical trials and has been extensively studied in men with erectile dysfunction.

PATIENT INFORMATION

In the clinical trials, sildenafil demonstrated significantly more efficacy than other ED drugs in achieving erectile function, and the effect was significantly stronger in patients with hypertension (55.2% vs 45.9%, respectively). In a retrospective analysis of 5,827 patients with erectile dysfunction and hypertension, the efficacy of sildenafil was significantly greater in patients with hypertension compared with patients without hypertension (p<0.05). In addition, the safety profile of sildenafil was similar to that of other ED drugs in the study.

In the retrospective analysis, patients who received sildenafil were more likely to have hypertension compared with patients who received placebo (23.4% vs 14.7%, respectively). The incidence of heart failure was higher in the sildenafil group (45.5% vs 19.4%, respectively) compared with the placebo group (31.4% vs 14.1%, respectively).

The safety profile of sildenafil was similar to that of other ED drugs in the study.

Introduction

Sexual dysfunction is defined as the inability to attain or maintain an orgasm, which is a sensation that occurs during or after arousal, orgasm, or orgasm during sexual intercourse. It can affect any part of the body and even the penis.

What is it?

Erectile dysfunction (ED) is defined as the inability to get or keep an erection. It is a condition that affects men over the age of 40 years old. It affects the nerves in the penile area. The erectile tissue is activated to become erect when the penis does not get hard. The penis becomes erect when sexual stimulation occurs. It becomes enlarged and becomes flaccid due to the stress of sexual activity.

How does it work?

PDE-5 (phosphodiesterase type 5) is a chemical that breaks down the substance P, an important molecule in the body. This causes the blood vessels to narrow which leads to increased blood flow into the penis, resulting in an erection. It works by blocking the breakdown of the PDE-5 enzyme, which allows more blood to enter the penis, allowing for an erection.
